Cut me.
Slashed my wrists
Blamed me.
One more last-call load: that fat stack of battered paperbacks
Half-packed in bootleg boxes, leftover cardboard,
Makeshift hymnals reinforced with duct-taped crosses
The speed was raised just as we could bear it, and often, almost always, at our request, because with the increase of speed our pay increased.
